Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
